Maybe you can convince CM Price to be a bit less publicly biased in his anti-regulation sentiments.

Then again, council president Gahan taketh, and he taketh away, too.

NAW! Let Steve continue to show his stuff. There's plenty of rope left.

I continue to encourage the following as a minimum for effectiveness;

A) Registration of all rental & abandoned property.

B)The requirement that the owner or an agent of his/her choice live in New Albany, Flolyd County or an adjacent county.

C) Minimum registration fees {$5-$25 per unit} to cover the paperwork.

D) Sustantial fines {$100+ per day per incident} for failure to comply to put some teeth in it.

E) A verbal committment on the public record from the Administration via Mayor England, Deputy Mayor Malysz,the city Building Commissioner, & the City Attorney to enforce these and other existing ordinances that pertain all the way thru the court system when necessary.

The latter two being to send the message that New Albany is serious about the matter.

Anything less is as placating, "feel good" and useless as a "Novelty Lighter" ordinance.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
